I am using the disc brakes from a 1979 Thunderbird to convert my front drum brakes to disc. I purchased the spindles, calipers, and other attached parts from a junk yard. I bought new rotors off eBay and bought caliper rebuild kits from the local auto parts store. Since the brake hoses are in a different location than the originals, I will have to relocate the brake hose frame brackets from behind the control arms to in front of the control arms. When I am completely finished with the conversion, including a dual reservoir master cylinder, I will document the process in detail to assist others who may be doing the conversion.
